Henna leaves-The traditional hair conditioner
Henna is the herb; which is best known for its hair conditioning properties. The leaves are collected from the flowering tops. Both fresh and dried leaves are used as hair products like conditioner and natural dye.
The leaves are sensitive for some individuals it is better not advisable for those who are sensitive. If used purposely they may suffer with itchy eyes, red sore eyes and watering of eyes.
The following are the hair recipes that can be followed as required for a better and healthy hair. They include;
a. Premature graying of hair: Henna leave are taken and boiled in a castor oil about 250 ml on a low flame. You can even add curry leaves, cool the boiled extract, and filter off the bulky part. The cooled oil is added with lavender scented oil. Apply this oil regularly and wash your hair using mild herbal shampoo.
b. Natural dye: Blend fresh leaves in a blender and add a whole lemon to the paste formed. Apply the paste with an applicator for better results. Cover the scalp with a shower cap. Wash the hair after 4 hours, after results are this shall make your hair appear more lustrous.
c. Henna regular: Henna pack can be applied thrice a month. It is marinated in an iron vessel; the paste is mixed up with water. The paste is soaked up to 8 hours and applied to the scalp with an applicator. You can even mix decoction of tea leaves or butter milk for more results.
